  • Performing remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Determining the best solution based on the issue and details provided by employees

Job brief

We are looking for a competent Help desk technician to provide fast and useful technical assistance on computer systems and networks.

Excellent Help desk technician must have good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance
  • Perform troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by employees
  • Walk the employee through the problem-solving process
  • Writing, editing, and revising training manuals for new and updated software and hardware
  • Following up with employees to ensure full resolution of issues
  • Running reports to analyse common complaints and problems
  • Installing or changing software to fix issues
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel/ vendor support through using help desk or ITSM systems
  • Provide accurate information on IT products or services
  • Record events and problems and their resolution in Help Desk/ ITSM logs
  • Follow-up and update employee status and information
  • Pass on any feedback or suggestions by employees to the appropriate internal team
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a help desk technician or other employee support role
  • Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, databases, backup solutions and remote control
  • Excellent understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
  • Strong Computer Skills and the Ability to Troubleshoot and Diagnose Problems
  • Experience with Network Repairs and Analysis
  • Ability to Communicate Effectively to help employees fix their issues
  • Writing and Editing Skills to aid in writing and updating manuals
  • Excellent Proficiency in English
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Employee-oriented and cool-tempered
  • 3-5 years of experience in a related role
  • BSc/BA in IT, Computer Science or relevant field
